Fulham Area Guide

About the Area

Dripping with A-List glam, shi-shi shops and quaint riverside vibes, Fulham is desirable with a capital D. But even if you don’t bathe in banknotes, this postcard-perfect neighbourhood could be your home too.

A not so hidden gem, Fulham is a timeless West London neighbourhood where park life meets the high life. Down by the river, gorgeous Bishops Park has a stunning urban beach for summertime swimming, and 1,300 years of history at Fulham Palace.

The River Café is quintessentially Fulham — a local institution and celeb hangout on the Thames known for its simple but delicious Italian dishes since 1987. There’s a strong food scene round these parts; at The Harwood Arms, a pub meets fine dining restaurant, expect premium British cuisine and queues for a coveted table.

Beyond the well-trodden streets, there’s plenty of character on North End Road. Walk from Fulham Broadway to West Kensington via a kaleidoscope of cheap eats from around the world: Chinese, North African, Mediterranean — you name it. What’s more, a trip to charming Craven Cottage under the floodlights is one of English football’s classic match day experiences.

Got an urge to live by the river? We don’t blame you. Start practicing your canoe paddle game and write your own west side story.
