Earls Court

A lively and famous upscale crossroads

Nobody will ever say "Where's Earls Court?". It features a blend of upscale mansion blocks but also plays host to travellers, meaning there are also many hotels. That said, it's not touristy. Like Hammersmith, Earls Court is also on the Piccadilly Line, meaning a direct connection to Heathrow to the west and Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus in the central London. You can easily walk, bus or tube it to South Kensington and Gloucester Square for fancy night-clubs.

Good to know: Earl's court is a bit of a musical legend. The Troubadour bar and restaurant hosts up-and-coming acts (Jimi Hendrix once played there); the Earl's Court Exhibition Centre has big-time concerts; and Freddie Mercury lived and died in Earl's Court.
